John M. “Jack” QuinnJohn M. “Jack” Quinn has received the highest honors available to a trial lawyer, including Fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers and election to Membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been selected for inclusion in “Best Lawyers in America” and was named 1 of the 50 Best Lawyers in Maryland by SuperLawyers Magazine. He has held an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell for approximately 20 years. He holds the highest rank as a “Bencher” in the Montgomery County Inns of Court. He is a Member of the Governor's Trial Court Nominating Commission.
Mr. Quinn served for twenty years on the Governor's Advisory Committee to the Law-Related Education Program for the State of Maryland. He has also served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland Bar Association. He has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors and has served on its Planning Commission. Mr. Quinn was elected as Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation in 1998.
Mr. Quinn has served the Bar Association of Montgomery County as a Member of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Nominations and Elections Committee and Inter-professional Committee, Judicial District Delegate to the Young Lawyers Section Council, and on numerous Committees and Commissions, including the Judicial Selections Committee and the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee. He is a recipient of the President's Citation for Outstanding Service to the Bar Association. He has also served as trial counsel to the Bar Association.
Mr. Quinn acts as a special mediator to the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, and has conducted in excess of 50 specially appointed mediations. He has also served as a Special Arbiter on numerous occasions. His areas of practice include business litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, construction litigation, criminal law, workers' compensation and family law. He lectures frequently on issues relating to tort and insurance law to various professional organizations.
Mr. Quinn has practiced law in Rockville, Maryland since 1975. He is a Member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. He is also a Member of the Bars of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the United States Circuit Court for the District of Columbia Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Quinn served as a claims representative of Allstate Insurance Company and the Great American Insurance Companies, as well as serving as a claims manager for the Great American Insurance companies. Mr. Quinn graduated from the Washington College of Law at the American University in 1975.
