With Perseverance, Justice Was Served

With Perseverance, Justice Was Served

In the world of personal injury law, the cases that make headlines are often the multi-million dollar verdicts. But for attorney Tess Van Duyne, the greatest victories aren't always measured in dollar signs.

"Sometimes the greatest pride I feel as an attorney comes from the seemingly small cases — the ones where a grave injustice has been done and nobody else is willing to fight," Tess explains.

This particular case involved a client who had been dismissed by other firms as not worth pursuing. The damages seemed modest on paper, and the liability was heavily contested. Many attorneys would have passed on the case entirely.

But Tess saw something the others missed: a human being who had been wronged and deserved someone in their corner. She took the case, poured herself into the research, and methodically built an argument that even the defense couldn't refute.

Through sheer perseverance and creative legal strategy, Tess secured a result that exceeded everyone's expectations — most importantly, the client's. For the victim, it wasn't just about the money. It was about being heard, being believed, and knowing that someone cared enough to advocate for them.

"At the end of the day, that's why I do this work," Tess says. "Not for the big verdicts, but for the moments when a client looks at you and says, 'Thank you for believing me.'"
